Then there's the one about the tortoise and
the hippo. The zookeepers say that when the
orphaned hippo arrived, it latched onto the
tortoise and they became pretty much
inseparable...until the hippo grew.

Debby Cantlon was bottle-feeding an infant squirrel when Giselle, her pregnant Papillion, adopted him.  Canton and her husband watched as the dog dragged the squirrel's cage to her own bedside -- twice -- just before she gave birth to her 5 puppies.   Canton was concerned, but since Giselle was adamant, she decided to let Finnegan join the litter.            And he did!
