FIRE RAINBOW.  This fire
rainbow was seen on the
Washington-Idaho border.
The event lasted about an hour.

To create a fire rainbow,
clouds must be cirrus, at
least 20,000 ft. high, with
the ideal amount of ice
crystals, and the sun must
hit the clouds at a 58 degree angle.
